Owner & Certified Professional Pet Sitter

Hello, My name is Wendy.  I have proudly called Summerfield home for most of my adult life, building deep roots and strong connections within the local community. My love for animals and passion for helping pet owners led me to start Wendy Collins Pet Sitting in 2018 as a part-time endeavor focused on providing reliable, personalized care for local families and their pets.

What began as a small passion project quickly grew through word-of-mouth recommendations, loyal clients, and trusted relationships within the community. By 2019, the business had expanded so rapidly that I made the decision to pursue pet sitting full time.

Since that time, I have become a member of Pet Sitter’s International, furthered my education to become a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, trained in Pet First-Aid & CPCR, became a member of the Summerfield Merchants Association, and became accredited by the BBB® of Central and Northwest North Carolina.

What started as my passion for animals has grown into a trusted local pet care business serving a large network of families and beloved pets throughout Summerfield. We look forward to taking care of your sweet babies while you are on vacation or for a midday potty break while you are at work.

Hello! My name is Desiree, and I grew up in Wilmington before moving to the Piedmont area during the pandemic to be closer to family.

Before joining Wendy Collins Pet Sitting, I worked as a bather with a mobile grooming service, where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for pets and supporting their wellbeing.

After becoming a mom, I wanted a role that would allow me to continue doing what I love—working with animals—while also spending more time with my son.

Working with Wendy Collins Pet Sitting has truly been the best of both worlds. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know your pets, building relationships with them, and treating them like part of my own family. I look forward to caring for your babies and giving you peace of mind while you’re away!

Hello! My name is Brandon. I grew up in Summerfield and am proud to now have a home of my own here in the community.

Animals have always been an important part of my life, especially my Blue Heeler, Jazz, who truly has my heart.

Through the years, I’ve heard so many wonderful stories about your pets from my mom, Wendy, and I’m excited to now be part of caring for them myself.

I look forward to getting to know your pets, building trust with them, and loving them just as much as my mom does. It’s a privilege to be part of a team that treats every pet like family!

Hello! My name is Carrington, and I grew up in Summerfield.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and my own little crew keeps life fun and interesting! My pets include an unbelievably smart brown tabby cat named Kevin, two fancy mice named Sebastian and Theodore, and a Sunfire Djungarian hamster named Peanut.

I work full time at a local veterinary office providing direct care for cats and dogs, which has strengthened both my knowledge of animal care and my passion for working with pets every day.

I am so happy to be part of the Wendy Collins Pet Sitting team. It’s truly an honor to care for your babies, and I look forward to giving them the same love, attention, and compassion that I give my own pets.

Hello! My name is Cheyenne, and I grew up right here in Summerfield. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from UNC Greensboro, I began working as a Laboratory Assistant for a local laboratory.

I’ve always enjoyed staying busy and pursuing opportunities that align with my passions. My love for animals led me to build experience in pet care through several roles, including working as a veterinary technician at a local veterinary clinic, where I gained valuable hands-on experience supporting the health and wellbeing of pets. I also worked at a local doggy daycare, helping provide dogs with a fun, safe, and enriching environment.

One of the things I enjoy most about pet sitting is the opportunity to care for pets in the comfort of their own homes, where they feel happiest and most secure. Building trust with animals and providing compassionate, reliable care is something I genuinely love.

At home, I have three wonderful Corgis—Foxy, Romeo, and Patches—who keep life entertaining and full of personality!

I am excited to be part of the Wendy Collins Pet Sitting team and look forward to caring for your sweet babies as if they were my own.

Hey y’all! My name is Tosha, and I have lived in the Summerfield, Oak Ridge, and Stokesdale area my whole life. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and my home is filled with four beloved pups: Bandit, Kobi, Bo, and Lainey.

In addition to my love for animals, I currently work as a school counselor for Guilford County Schools, where compassion, patience, and connection are at the heart of what I do every day. My passion for pets ultimately led me to join the Wendy Collins Pet Sitting team, and I couldn’t be more excited to be here.

My friends often describe me as an “animal whisperer,” and I truly love building trust and relationships with every pet I meet. I look forward to caring for your fur babies and treating them like family!

Hello! My name is Leah. I attended UNC Greensboro, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology, while working as a private pet sitter for four years.

During that time, I cared for a Chow Chow mix with a big personality and very particular preferences, which taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and building trust with every pet as an individual.

My love for both dogs and cats has always been a huge part of who I am, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. In addition to pet sitting, I currently work full-time as a Front Office Support with Guilford County Schools.

I am excited to be part of the Wendy Collins Pet Sitting team and look forward to providing your pets with the same care, attention, and affection that I would give my own. I can’t wait to meet your sweet babies and help give you peace of mind while you’re away!
