About Us
Meet our Professional Team
All team members are background checked, insured, bonded, Pet First Aid/CPR trained, and thoroughly trained to follow the protocols and procedures that Wendy Collins Pet Sitting LLC has been known for.
Meet Wendy
Owner & Certified Professional Pet Sitter
Wendy started pet sitting in 2002 for Amanda, a friend who owned Gate City Pet Sitters. When Amanda decided to close the business in 2010 due to family obligations, a couple of clients continued to call Wendy for their pet sitting needs. They are still Wendy’s clients to this day!
In the summer of 2018, the decision was made to expand services and open Wendy Collins Pet Sitting LLC.
Since that time, Wendy has become a member of Pet Sitter’s International, furthered her education to become a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, and trained in Pet First-Aid & CPCR.
Taking care of and forming a bond with our clients and their fur babies is our purpose.
All pets are different with their own special personalities, likes, dislikes, and reactions. It is a welcome challenge to see how much fun we can have or just sit quietly with head scratches, belly rubs, and lots of love.
Meet Kelly
WCPS is excited to have Kelly on our team. Wendy considers Kelly a mentor.
When Wendy started WCPS in 2018, she found Kelly’s pet sitting advertisement in the Northwest Observer. She called her to ask for advice. They have been friends and colleagues ever since navigating the waters of professional pet sitting.
Kelly brings to the team 10+ years of experience in the pet care industry.
Owning her own pet sitting business, she has worn many hats—from Chief Cuddler to Treat Dispenser Extraordinaire to managing a staff of 3. She brings a wealth of knowledge and managerial prowess, ensuring that your pets not only receive the highest standard of care but also benefit from the leadership and expertise of a seasoned professional.
Kelly is excited to be a part of WCPS’s professional team of dedicated pet sitters who specialize in making your pet feel taken care of, happy, and loved!
Meet Kathy
WCPS is so excited to have Kathy back with the team. Kathy was an original employee with WCPS in 2019. When the pandemic hit, Wendy scaled back to being an independent pet sitter. Kathy was a trusted and valued employee, and we are excited she has returned.
Besides being a previous employee, Kathy has worked with Jan’s Animal Rescue from 2017-2023 as a volunteer and foster mom. She frequently helps her sister with bottle-fed, foster kittens. All her fur babies have been adopted through Jan’s.
Currently, Kathy has been volunteering with UnderBoneRailroad. UnderBoneRailroad is a group of dedicated volunteers helping animals in need get from shelters, fosters, or owner surrenders to rescues, adopters, or other fosters by posting transport opportunities. She does a run from Greensboro to Durham when needed.
Kathy is excited to return to WCPS and to get reacquainted with old clients and their fur babies and building relationships with new.
